Actually, two friends Amit Mishra and Sonu Singh, residents of Motihari, had gone to Patna in connection with some work. At the same time, when he wanted to drink tea, he came to know that tea is served while sitting next to him in the jail. Hearing this, they went there and had tea. They liked the concept so much that they started Jail Tea Bar and Restaurant in Motihari.
Amit Mishra, the owner of Jail Chai Bar and Family Restaurant Motihari, says that it was inaugurated on 30 January. Since then till now there is a very good response. They tell that here we have different flavors of tea, Indian, Chinese, South Indian food items, along with fast food items, vegetarian and non-vegetarian items ranging from 15 to 30 rupees. They tell that they have artisans from Banaras and Allahabad. This is the reason that their test is different from other restaurants in the city. A large number of people come for the spicy test along with the tea.

Amit Mishra says that he has a private space of party area for birthday, anniversary, meeting or any kind of party. Here about 25 to 30 people can sit together and enjoy the party. For this, booking has to be done 1 day in advance. Booking is completely free. If decoration is to be done then the charge has to be paid separately. They say that people of all walks of life come here, but mainly there is a crowd of college couples during the day, while on the other hand, a large number of families like to come here in the evening. Everyone sits in the jail and enjoys tea and delicious dishes and takes selfies.
