An animal lover has made a shocking claim. He says that in his youth he had a relationship with a dolphin named Dolly, and insists that she was the one who attracted him. He has revealed that the two were later separated. It was after the separation that he went into depression and his depression lasted for 5 years even after her death.
Malcolm, a pensioner, was just a student when he began his unusual ‘relationship’ with a bottlenose dolphin in the 1970s. He has also written a novel, “Wet Goddess”, which tells the story of a young man who forms a bond with a dolphin named Ruby while working at a theme park.
The disturbing thing is that Malcolm openly admits that the book is autobiographical and heavily influenced by his own experiences. He said, “I wrote this book for the dolphins because we are mistreating these animals by keeping them in captivity.”
Malcolm alleges that he was in his early 20s when he began his relationship with Dolly. As a passionate photographer, he was allowed to take photos in the pool at a former theme park in Sarasota Florida where he lived. The student was also allowed to swim with the dolphins, and it was during these sessions that he formed a close bond with Dolly.

“I was given free access to the dolphin and I became her friend by swimming with her. She was very special,” he said. “There’s something very supernatural about being in love with a dolphin,” he explained. Nine months after Malcolm’s ‘relationship’ with Dolly, the park closed and he was relocated, sending him into a depression. “I called it a relationship because that’s what it was. When she died I felt terrible and I went into a depression that lasted five years,” he confessed.
