According to media reports, this mansion, built at a cost of 20 million dollars i.e. approximately Rs 168 crore, is located on a cantilever slab on the top of a skyscraper in luxury retail and office space UB City. It is built on 4.5 acres of land. You will be surprised to know, but let us tell you that it was to have many such luxury facilities, which would make it the most special in the world. But now it is in a completely deserted condition. However, this mansion should have had other facilities including a wine cellar, an indoor heated pool and an outdoor infinity pool, a helipad on the roof. But all this could not be accomplished due to Vijay Mallya fleeing the country.
Let us tell you that after Vijay Mallya announced his plans to build a dream house, it was completely completed in 2010. The 34-storey skyscraper on which this mansion is built has approximately 81 apartments in 3 blocks. It was considered an expansion part of UB City, which was built under a joint development agreement between United Breweries Holdings Limited (UBHL) and Prestige Estates Projects Limited. UBHL owns 55 per cent and the developer owns the other 45 per cent. It is noteworthy that last July, SEBI had banned fugitive businessman Vijay Mallya from the Indian securities market for 3 years. Now Mallya will not be able to do any kind of transaction in the market for 3 years. Apart from this, SEBI had ordered to freeze all the security holdings of Mallya, which also includes mutual fund units.
