Regarding the incident, the deceased’s brother Aman Giri said that on Wednesday night around 10:00 pm, his brother had gone to Arjun Yadav’s house in Mahanandpur village, 4 km away from the village, to give him medicine for stomach pain. At around 11:00 pm, his father called and informed that Suman Kumar Giri has not returned home. His phone is also switched off. He studies in Bihar Sharif.
After this, he reached Asthawan police station at around 12:00 in the night, where he lodged a missing report of his brother, but the police refused to take his complaint and neither did the police leave the police station to look for his brother. After searching all night, when Rajesh Giri was not found anywhere, he once again went to Asthawan police station with the villagers at around 3:00 in the morning to register a missing report of his brother, but the police officer present in the police station abused and drove him away.
Suspected of kidnapping and murder for ransom
Aman Giri expressed his apprehension and said that his brother was kidnapped on the way for ransom. When he recognized the criminals, they killed him and threw his body in a pit on the roadside.
Father has been running a clinic in the village for 10 years
Suman Kumar Giri’s father Rajesh Kumar Giri has been running a clinic in the village for 10 years. He is an RMP doctor by profession. Suman Giri also used to assist him in his medical practice. Suman was the youngest of three brothers.
The road was blocked after the body was found
During the search for Suman Giri, his body was found 300 meters away from the village in a ditch on the roadside and the motorcycle was found about 12 feet away from the body. As soon as the villagers saw the body, the matter was revealed. Seeing the body, the family got furious and blocked the road by placing the body on the road demanding that a senior officer be called to the spot.
Police from four police stations arrived
On receiving the information of finding the dead body and road blockage, police from Asthawan police station, Sare police station, Manpur police station and Bind police station reached the spot and started trying to pacify the agitated people. At present, the situation remains tense. In this case, Asthawan police station chief Shashi Kumar said that a case of murder of a youth has come to light. The police team reached the spot and started investigating the case.
