Those days are long gone when whatever was said on TV was believed to be true. Sometimes TV reporting also becomes a laughing stock. Nowadays, due to the activity of social media, this danger is increasing. One such TV report gave a strange suggestion. In it, a hole on a beach was said to be due to an astronomical event. Whereas the same hole was dug by a person whose video went viral on social media.
The video, which went viral on both X and Reddit, showed a man digging a hole on Portmarnock beach in north Dublin using a child’s bucket and spade. The same hole was later shown in a news report, leaving beachgoers shocked as they thought it was the work of ‘supernatural forces’.
A Virgin Media News reporter said, “A mysterious hole in the beach has caused a stir in north Dublin. A local astronomy enthusiast hopes the crater in Portmarnock Beach may have been formed after a cosmic event.” The strange hole on Portmarnock Beach caught the attention of local astrophysics enthusiast Dave Kennedy.
They were certain that the small but heavy rock inside had fallen from the sky. The reporter even interviewed a supposed expert who said, “As you can see here, there’s a scorch mark on this side. So it must have been the angle at which it came down, and it’s heavy.”
