Mohan Chand, who puts Dilbahar Chhole, told that he has been making these hills since 1994. Onion, tomato, green chillies, pure spices and sourness of the house are added to these spices, which makes their tastest. People come from far and wide to eat their chickpeas and also encourage them.

All from young children to big people taste them. At 11 am, they make a cart near the Women’s Hospital Gate in Almora and sit till 6 pm. Tourists coming from outside also taste them once. The half plate of Dilbahar Chole is available for ₹ 10 and full plate ₹ 20.

Customer Deepak told that he has been coming here to eat Dilbahar Chhole since 2016. He said that the taste of Mohan Chand’s chickpeas is not found anywhere else in Almora and this is the only place where these special chickpeas are made. The magic of their hands is that the taste of chickpeas doubles and draws everyone towards them.

Customer Girish Dhawan said that he has been seeing for 25 years that Mohan Chand uses his chickpeas outside the women’s hospital in Almora. They take special care of cleanliness in preparing chickpeas and their cart is always crowded with customers. He advised tourists to taste Dilbahar Chole once if they come to Almora.
