The world’s poorest country, poverty is at its peak despite having reserves of gold and oil.


While the world has reached the moon, poverty in some countries is so extreme that people there are not able to get even one meal at a time. The surprising thing is that despite having gold and oil mines in these countries, a large population here is struggling with extreme poverty. So let us know about such countries.

South Sudan –
There are some countries in the world where poverty is at its peak. Many people in these countries are living by eating soil. In which the first name comes from South Sudan. This country has rich reserves of oil, yet the economy of this country has not improved. More than one crore population here falls in the category of extreme poverty.

Central African Republic– This country has reserves of gold, uranium, diamonds and oil. Despite this, people in this country with population of 55 lakhs are living in poverty. Due to which this country is considered the third poorest country in the world.

Somalia– In this country, the common people are troubled by the atrocities of the army, instability and terror of pirates. This country, with a total population of 1 crore 26 lakh, got independence in 1960. Where the country has reserves of feldspar, gypsum, iron ore, copper, gold, kaolin, limestone, natural gas, quartz, silica sand, tantalum, tin and uranium. Yet this country never recovered from poverty and remains the fourth poorest country in the world.

Congo– Congo is considered to be the fifth poorest country in the world. The population of this country is unable to even spend Rs 166 a day. Dictatorship, political instability and violence have ruined this mineral-rich country. 

Burundi– Apart from this, Burundi is the second most populous country in the world. It is considered a poor country. Poverty is at its peak in this country and people also have to face problems related to food and drink.
