Amethi : A youth from Sangrampur in Amethi tried to wake up the administration from its deep slumber by doing a unique demonstration. A youth from Punnpur village in Sangrampur block had been demanding reboring of his tap for a year, but even after that the tap was not rebored. Tired of this, the youth took such a decision that it became a topic of discussion in the whole of Amethi. Even the office of the Block Development Officer was in a state of panic.
Actually, this whole matter is of Punnapur village of Sangrampur block. Satyam Kumar, a resident of this place, reached Sangrampur block. Satyam reached here with a bucket, mug and his clothes. He filled water from the tap near the BDO office and started bathing in front of the block and after that he also washed his clothes.
Satyam alleges that although every month there is a Samadhan Diwas at the block, but no solution is found for every problem. For the last one year, I have demanded reboring of the tap more than fifty times, despite which the BDO and the village secretary have been giving only assurances. Now the village secretary even uses abusive language on complaining. Due to the tap not being rebored, people of many houses are facing problem of water.
The victim said that now he will bring a bucket from home every day and bathe like this until his problem is solved. He also alleged that fake tap reboring is being done on paper, but where reboring is actually needed, people have been struggling for many years to get the tap rebored but the taps are not being rebored.
The same victim, after washing his clothes, also took a bucket of water from the tap installed in the block to drink. Sangrampur BDO said that after investigation, the tap will be rebored soon.
