Dholpur: Sumit Saxena, who sells Panipuri in Hardev Nagar, shared his story, which started with the struggle of his father Ashok Saxena. About 27 years ago, Ashok had set up a peanut stall at Jagan intersection, but it became difficult to earn a living for the family. After this he decided to start a Panipuri stall, and since then his luck changed.
Sumit told that now both he and his father together sell Panipuri from 4 pm to 9 pm. Every day, they prepare around 1000 panipuris from around 3 kg flour and around 500 panipuris from 4 kg semolina. Here, 4 flour panipuri are available for Rs 10 and 6 semolina panipuri are available for Rs 20.

The specialty of Sumit’s stall is that he always uses high quality potatoes, which are boiled, cut and stuffed into Panipuri. In their menu, Dahi Gujiya is available for Rs 20 and Bhalla for Rs 25. To make Panipuri water, spinach, green chillies, coriander, mint, garam masala, salt and black salt are added, which makes it spicy and tasty. After eating Panipuri, customers coming to the cart are also given asafoetida water, which helps in keeping their digestion healthy.

Customers Ranjeet and Santosh said that they liked the cleanliness and tasty sour-sweet water at Sumit’s cart. He told that getting asafoetida water after eating Panipuri is a special experience, which improves digestion. Sumit and his father’s stall is not only a food stall, but it is also a story of struggle, which shows them their hard work and Hard work leads to success.
