However, at present the condition of the place where this cave is situated is not such that people want to go there because the park where it is situated is full of dirt and the paint on the four walls of the park has been peeled off or has come off somewhere. If we talk about the Mughal period in Bihar, then the name of Munger comes first. Nawab Mir Qasim had constructed a secret cave in 1760 AD on the banks of the river Ganga in Munger. One end of this mysterious cave, built to avoid the attack of the British, still looks safe in Munger. There are different speculations about the other end of the cave. People say that the other end has come out near Pir hill of Mufassil police station area of Munger, but such things have not been confirmed.

When Nawab Mir Kasim of East India Company reached Munger in 1760, he immediately shifted the capital of Bengal from Murshidabad to Munger. Some historians tell that Mir Kasim stayed in Munger till 1764. Meanwhile, he converted the city into a fort to keep himself and Munger safe from the British. Strong and high walls were built all around and four huge doors made of stone in all the four directions. These are still safe today and testify to history.
