There is a place in India where going is banned, smoke always comes out

There is a place in India where going is prohibited. Now you must be thinking that there is such a place in our country where no person can go. This place is in the Bay of Bengal, about 150 kilometers away from Port Blair, the capital of Andaman. Today we will tell you why it is forbidden to go there.

Where in Andaman?

This place is about 150 kilometers away from Port Blair in Bengal. There is a volcano in Barren Island, spread over an area of about three km in the Gulf. There is no greenery or any population around this place. There are even no animals here. This is the reason why this part was named Baron i.e. barren. Let us tell you that the first known eruption of the volcano took place in 1787. Since then the volcano has erupted more than ten times.

When did smoke come out of the volcano?

Smoke and lava were seen coming out of this volcano in the year 1787. Since then, volcanic eruptions have been recorded 11 times. Apart from this, smoke keeps coming out from time to time, which means that it remains continuously active. This is the reason why to go around it, special permission has to be taken from the forest department of the island group. After nearly a century and a half of inactivity, there was another eruption in 1991, which lasted for six months and caused considerable damage.

Scientists warn

According to the information, this volcano continues to burn even during the tsunami. The reason for which scientists said is that any kind of movement inside the earth causes a volcano to erupt. However, it last erupted in the year 2016 and lava came out for several days. The water around Barren Island is considered very good and safe all over the world to learn scuba diving. Geological Survey of India continuously keeps an eye on the volcano through satellite. This also helps in recording movements within the earth.
