Now let us tell you the story of this loyal dog, whoever heard it was surprised.

Loyalty was punished with death

Villagers told that a poor man named Lakha Banjara lived in this village. He had borrowed a lot of money from a Seth of the village to support his family. After that he was unable to repay the money and he mortgaged his pet dog to the Seth. After this one day there was a theft in Seth’s house, but due to the dog the thieves could not take away the goods and Seth’s goods worth lakhs of rupees were saved. When Seth came to know about this, Seth was happy with the dog and freed it. And tied a leaf around its neck. Then its old owner Lakha Banjara saw his pet dog. Lakha Banjara felt that his dog had betrayed him. So Lakha Banjara shot his dog. Due to which the loyal dog died on the spot.

When Lakha Banjara reached near the dog after shooting him, he saw that it had a leash tied around its neck. And seeing its loyalty, the merchant freed it. After that, Lakha Banjara felt very remorseful. He buried the loyal dog in a nearby pond. After that, he built a temple in his name. Where a statue of him was installed. Since then, he is worshipped.

Beliefs

The priest of the temple told that the belief of this temple is that if any person is bitten by a pet dog or any other mad dog, then he takes a bath in the tap installed nearby and offers darshan and prasad, he gets cured completely. People come here from far and wide.
