If you are asked why Dubai is famous all over the world? Why do people go there? So anyone will say that Dubai is known for its luxurious buildings, better lifestyle and beauty. Every year lakhs of people come here for this reason. People are mesmerized just by seeing its settlement. But there is another aspect of it, which very few people know about. It has been kept hidden from the world. Actually, on one hand, seeing the view of Dubai gives a feeling of richness, on the other hand, there are many such places here, which are the abode of the poor. Laborers live there in miserable conditions. Recently, a video related to this went viral, which was shared from an Instagram account named @uaegirly. The inside view is not shown in the video, but in Sonapur camp, these laborers sleep on cage-like beds like animals. For a few thousand rupees, they go to the cities, then they are loaded into vehicles and left back in the camp.

In the video going viral, you can see how small apartments have been built in this area, in which people live in miserable conditions. On one hand, the rest of the roads of Dubai are absolutely clean and smooth, while the road of this locality also looks broken. The caption of the video reads, ‘I don’t know why people show only 1% of glamorous Dubai, like they show only the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Why don’t they show the homeless? I am not saying that poverty is bad. I believe that they are also humans. So don’t show it just for the wrong reasons!’ Let us tell you that a few years ago also pictures of Indian laborers living in miserable conditions in Dubai had surfaced. Iran-based photographer Farhad Berahman had shown the miserable life of the people living in Sonapur in his photo series, where laborers from Bangladesh, Pakistan, China and India rest after working all day. Those houses were no less than animal stables. Here all of them are stuffed in chicken coop-like rooms.
