Let us tell you that chlorocruorin is found in the blood of some small creatures. This sub-content, similar to haemoglobin, turns dark green as soon as it comes in contact with oxygen. It is usually found in insects that break down their bodies, such as leeches, earthworms and sea worms.

Apart from this, hemerythrin substance is found in the blood of some organisms. It supplies much less oxygen than hemoglobin, it has no colour of its own. But as soon as it meets oxygen, it forms a purple or magenta colour and the blood of these creatures appears purple. The blood of some special marine organisms like Pinus worm, Peanut worm and Brachiopods is of purple colour.
