Not only this, they have to wait for hours for their food. This nature of snakes is according to their physical structure, hunting strategy, and habitat. Such snakes are usually big and heavy, which are incapable of moving fast.

Mahadev Patel, a snake catcher and snake expert from Khargone, Madhya Pradesh, said that the term lazy snake is used for snakes that are less mobile and are in a lethargic state most of the time. Due to their anatomy, hunting strategy, and habitat, they rest most of the time. Boa constrictors, pythons, pythons, and gaboon vipers are some of the prime examples, which are known for their lazy nature.
