IPL 2023: The 16th season of IPL (IPL 2023) is slowly getting closer. A mini auction has also been done for this, in which many players were bought by different franchises. In this, Mumbai also made Australian all-rounder Cameron Green a part of its team. After this mini auction, former Indian player Aakash Chopra has predicted the playing XI of Mumbai Indians. He said that which four foreign players would Mumbai like to be a part of their playing XI.
These four foreign players will get place
Talking about this on his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra said, “Jhye Richardson is a steal in my opinion if you watch BBL, which I watch. You would like to feed two foreign fast bowlers in the team, because Indian fast bowlers do not have that quality. I’m thinking Jhye Richardson or Jason Behrendorff, Jofra Archer 100 per cent and then Cameron Green and Tim Davids. Tristan Stubbs and Dewald Brewis can take a back seat.”
Cameron Green is playing Test series against Africa these days. In the second Test, he also took 5 wickets in his name while bowling. However, after this he also got hurt during the batting. On the other hand, Jhye Richardson is seen bowling brilliantly in the Big Bash League being played these days. He is playing for Perth Scorchers.
Why was this auction necessary?
Aakash Chopra looked at the entire team and said, “It was a very important auction for Mumbai as they are often not where they were last year. They take the top floor, where will they stay in the basement. But Mumbai Indians was number 10. So it was important for them to make the auction count. Joffra Archer and Jaspreet Bumrah will be present. So in any case the team is starting to look a bit better.”
