Ramji, who has been selling Rasgulla for the last 35 years, sells 25 quintals of Rasgulla daily in Sav Lagna.

Operating for last 35 years
Rasgulla has been made and sold by Ramji Sao, a resident of Obra block of the district, in Rambandh of the district headquarters for the last 35 years. Ramji Sao told that more than 10 quintals of Rasgulla are sold every day in his shop. For this, chhena is prepared from about 15 quintals of milk daily. He collects pure cow’s milk in the morning from dozens of cowherds in the district.

This shop started in 1990
Owner Ramji Sao told Local 18 that this shop was started by his father Ajay Sao in the year 1990. Now it is crowded with customers every day. Let us tell you that more than 10 artisans work to make Rasgulla in this hotel. The shopkeeper told that initially sweets were made here by the artisans of Bengal. But now more sweets are made by local artisans than Bangla.

Daily sales of Rs 15 thousand
Let us tell you that in the last 35 years, many changes have taken place in Ramji Saav’s shop. Rasgulla from his shop is now sent to Hariharganj, Jharkhand along with other markets of the district at wholesale rates. The shopkeeper told that the price of Rasgulla in the market is Rs 12 to 15 per piece. At the same time, the shopkeeper gets the same Rasgulla at wholesale rate for Rs 8-10 per piece. Let us tell you that in this business there is a daily earning of more than 15 thousand rupees.
