Internet usage is increasing rapidly across the world and mobile internet is playing an important role in it. Now all the countries of the world are engaged in strengthening their digital infrastructure. In the countries which are ahead in this, the internet speed is much faster than other countries. This year’s list of countries with the fastest internet speed has come and in this the countries of Middle East and Asia are at the forefront, while countries like America and India are far behind in it.
UAE at the forefront
According to the Speedfast Global Index, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has the fastest internet. Internet speed has increased 100 times faster in the country’s capital Dubai in recent times. The median speed of mobile internet here is 442Mbps. Qatar is second with 358 Mbps, Kuwait third with 264Mbps, Bulgaria fourth with 172Mbps and Denmark fifth with 162Mbps.
China also included in top 10
South Korea is at sixth place with 148Mbps, Netherlands is at seventh place with 147Mbps, Norway is at eighth place with 145.74Mbps. China with 139.58Mbps and Luxembourg with 134.14Mbps are ranked ninth and 10th respectively in the list of countries with the fastest mobile internet speed. America has got 13th place in the list with 123.63Mbps speed, while in terms of broadband speed it is at sixth place with 262.59Mbps.
Which place in India?
India is the largest country after China with about 900 million users, but it is far behind China in terms of internet speed. India is at 25th place in this list and the median download speed of mobile internet in the country is 100.78Mbps and upload speed is 9.08Mbps. Even though internet speed has increased in the country for some time, it is still far behind the top speed countries. In terms of broadband speed, it is ranked 91st worldwide with a speed of 63.55Mbps.
