The process of becoming an SPG commando is very difficult. To become an SPG commando, it is mandatory for you to be from CRPF, CISF, BSF, ITBP. Actually, SPG does not do direct recruitment. To get recruited in this, you must be from the Central Police Force or Paramilitary Force.

Only those soldiers whose age is less than 35 years are recruited in SPG. The monthly income of SPG Commando ranges from Rs 84,236 to Rs 244,632. Apart from this, SPG commandos posted on operational duty are also given a dress allowance of Rs 27,800 per year and commandos posted on non-operational duty are given a dress allowance of Rs 21,225 per year. That means the annual income of SPG commando ranges from Rs 12 to 13 lakh.
