Just hearing the name of Golgappa makes the mouth water. Also known as Pani Puri, Puchka, or Gupchup, it is a popular street food of India. It is made of crunchy puris which are filled with sweet and sour water, spicy potatoes, gram and green chutney. If you are in Amarpur of Banka, then definitely taste the Golgappa here because the Golgappa here is very special. Kailash Golgappa vendors set up their carts in front of Mohini Cinema Hall in Amarpur main market and feed Golgappa to the people. As soon as evening comes, there is a long queue at their shop.
Kailash told that at home, spicy water is prepared by mixing special spices like mint, garlic, tamarind, cumin and asafoetida. Which is quite tasty. Two types of Golgappa are served among the people. He told that two types of Gupchup are made in our place, one is made of potato and the other is made of spicy water. He said that to make Gupchup of potato, their spices are prepared. In which after boiling and peeling the potatoes, it is prepared by mixing raw gram, boiled gram, small cutting pieces of onion, chilli cumin, mint leaves, chilli powder along with tamarind water along with special home made masala.
Prepared secretly in a special way
Whereas people like Pani Wale Gupchup which is prepared with 6 types of spices mixed in water which is very tasty. They also say that Pani Wale Gupchup is sold for 10 rupees for 7 pieces and Aloo Wala is sold for 10 rupees for 5 pieces. Kailash said that our shop is set up from 4 pm to 10 pm. Due to the taste of Golgappa here, there is always a queue of people.
