Donald Trump Attack Case: Iran rejected as completely baseless those media reports which claimed that Tehran had conspired to assassinate Donald Trump. The Foreign Ministry spokesperson described these reports as an Israeli conspiracy.
According to Iran’s state news agency RNA, Ismail Baghai Hamaneh said on Saturday (09 November) that repeating such claims in the current era is a despicable conspiracy to further complicate the issues between Iran and the United States.
Ismail Baghai Hamaneh stressed that such claims against Iran have been rejected before and the falsehood of such claims has also been exposed. Baghai stressed that Tehran will use all legal and legitimate means to protect the rights of the nation. According to media reports, the US government has filed charges against an Afghan citizen in connection with a conspiracy to assassinate Donald Trump before he is elected the next President.
Chargesheet issued against Farhad Shakeri
The Justice Department on Friday issued an indictment against 51-year-old Farhad Shakeri, alleging that he was tasked with planning the assassination of Trump. The US government said Shakeri has not been arrested and is believed to be in Iran. In a criminal complaint filed in Manhattan court, prosecutors alleged that an officer in Iran’s Revolutionary Guard had instructed Shakeri in September to conduct surveillance on Trump and prepare a plan to assassinate him.
