Ingredients to make Moong Dal Soup
Moong Dal – 1/2 cup
Cumin – 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida – 1 pinch
Green chili chopped – 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves – 7-8
Lemon juice – 2 tsp
Oil – 1 tsp
salt – as per taste

Moong Dal Soup Recipe
To make moong dal soup, first take whole moong dal and clean it. After this, soak the lentils in water for 7-8 hours. After the fixed time, take out the moong dal from the water and transfer it to the cooker and put 3 cups of water in it and cover it and let it come for 3 whistles. After this, turn off the gas and let the pressure of the cooker release on its own. After this, open the lid and prepare a soft mixture by grinding moong dal with a hand blender.

Now put one spoon of oil in a nonstick pan and heat it. When the oil becomes hot, add cumin seeds and fry for some time. When the cumin starts crackling, add chopped green chillies, curry leaves and asafoetida and cook for a few seconds. After this, put the blended mixture of moong dal in the pan and add salt as per taste. Now add 1 cup of water to it and after mixing it well, cover the pan and cook for 5 minutes. After this turn off the gas and add lemon juice to the soup. Now transfer the moong dal soup in a serving bowl and serve garnished with green coriander leaves.
