who did the research
This research has been done by Stanford University biochemist Duo Xu and his team. Actually, this team has developed a protein gel that breaks down alcohol in the gastrointestinal tract. However, this research has been done on rats at present. It is yet to be tested on humans. During this test, when it was tested on rats, it was seen that the gel converts alcohol into acetic acid quickly and without any harm before it enters the bloodstream. This reduces the intoxication of the person drinking alcohol.
What is this gel made of?
Three things have been used to make this gel. These three things are whey protein, ion atom and hydrogen peroxide. Scientists have prepared this gel on the basis of these three things.
