Alfie Best came from humble beginnings. He belongs to a Banjara caste gypsy family in Vastra. But today he is a billionaire. The story of his transformation from a pauper to a king is no less exciting.
Alfie Best was born in a caravan on the side of a road in Leicester. But today he is on his way to becoming the world’s first Romani Gypsy billionaire. For this reason he has been named in the Sunday Times Rich List. His net worth is an astonishing 947 million pounds i.e. more than one trillion rupees.
54-year-old Alfie was born in April 1970 in a poor Gypsy family. At the age of 10, he started helping his father in his work and left school after only two years. But by the time he was 14, he was buying and selling cars and vans. After this, Alfie worked in a phone shop earning Rs 7,000 per week, but after 18 months he had 13 stores of his own in London.

But at the age of 17, he was stabbed in the arm in Walthamstow, London. When he was 22 he was hit on the head with a stick in Forest Gate and he pointed to his head and described how a piece of his skull was missing. But these incidents could not divert his attention. He sold his mobile phone business before becoming the owner of Europe’s largest holiday and destination park home operator.

Their business is called Wildcrest Parks and it consists of 91 parks in the UK, Europe and the US and houses 16,000 people. According to the Daily Star report, he said that there is no magic formula for his success, but it requires continuous blood, sweat and tears. Alfie now lives in Monaco in a mansion near a sparkling harbor, where he keeps his superyacht.
