Mother Mundeshwari has special blessings on this rice.
Farmer Dev Muni Patel told that this special paddy is cultivated in Sigura and Parasia Siwan situated on the west side of Mokri village. The world famous paddy is grown in these fields. From which Sonachur and Govind Bhog rice is prepared. When water comes to the fields from the mountains, it comes along with the mountain herbs. He told that there is only one crop in a year in the fields of Sigura and Parasia Siwan area. Rabi crop is not sown here. The paddy grown in the field is not cut from the bottom along with the stalk, only the ear of paddy is cut. The farmers here prepare rice from the same paddy, eat and sell it. The stalk lying in the field rots and is plowed. The stalk lying in the field also works as fertilizer. It can be called a blessing of nature that without eating this rice its specialty cannot be felt. Both the aroma and taste of this rice are amazing. The people here consider it to be the grace of Mother Mundeshwari.
