Ayodhya. These days, there is a lot of discussion about a parrot in Lord Ram’s city Ayodhya. When a parrot got free from a cage in a house in the religious city of Ayodhya, posters were put up at various places to catch it. It is clearly written in the poster that a reward of 10 thousand rupees will be given to the person who catches the parrot. But, in this religious city of Ayodhya, there are people who have also freed the parrot that has been caged for 15 years.
For the last 15 years, we have been freeing parrots from cages
Now call it a coincidence or a bird’s love for man, on one hand in Ayodhya, a reward is being given to the person who catches a parrot and on the other hand a saint is trying to free a parrot that has been caged for the last 15 years. Let us tell you that saint cum wrestler Mani Ramdas lives in Siddh Peeth Hanumangarhi of Lord Ram’s city Ayodhya, who has been buying caged parrots and freeing them for the last 15 years. He says that birds are not caged because God has given them wings, so they should be allowed to fly in the sky. For the last 15 years, Mani Ram Das has been buying parrots at his own expense and freeing 15 to 20 parrots from cages in a year. But, he says that doing so gives peace to the mind.
Every year 15 to 20 parrots are freed
Saint Mani Ram Das told Local 18 that if a bird is caged, we free it, this gives peace to the mind and comfort to the heart. If a bird is caged, it feels suffocated. God has given it wings, so it should be allowed to fly. Some traders cage parrots and do business with them. We buy parrots from those traders and bring them to Siddha Peeth Hanumangarhi and free them from the cage. We have been doing this work for the last 15 to 20 years and the special thing is that we free 15 to 20 parrots every year. On the other hand, Satish Yadav told Local 18 that Mani Ram Das Maharaj has been buying parrots from the market for the last several years and freeing them from the cage. His work is commendable.
