Many ships have sunk in the world with treasure and many have not been found till date. But a strange ship has been found, which did not have gold, silver or precious coins of its time or diamonds and jewels. Neither did it have precious artifacts of the old era. When it was found, the things found in it by the divers were surprising, the special thing was that even after 170 years these things were completely preserved. They found old bottles in the ship. But they did not know that they too had found precious treasure.
A 19th-century shipwreck loaded with champagne bottles was found in good condition in the deep Baltic Sea. The discovery was made by a team of Polish divers off the southern coast of Sweden. According to a statement from the BalticTech team that made the discovery, the ancient sailing ship was “loaded with champagne, wine, mineral water and porcelain.”
“I’ve been diving for 40 years, and it’s often the case that one or two bottles are found … but this is a first for me to find a shipwreck with so much cargo,” Tomas Stachura, leader of the diving team that discovered the wreck, told CNN. When the divers first saw the wreck on sonar, they thought it was a fishing boat. But when two of his divers went in for about two hours on what was meant to be a quick dive, they knew they had found something interesting.

The team found more than 100 bottles of champagne and clay bottles of mineral water. While the champagne seemed more valuable, according to Baltictech it was the mineral water that was more valuable. “The value of the items was so high that police surveillance was required to ensure their safe delivery,” Baltictech said in a statement.
In the old days, mineral water was only accessible to royalty and was treated almost like a medicine. Bottles of water were stamped Selter, a very exclusive German brand in those days that still exists today. The water comes from a mineral spring in the town of Selter in the central German state of Hesse and has been bottled for over 800 years.
