There is a lot of demand for tourists in border Barmer in winters, which is available only in two months. You can make it at home also. It becomes delicious after adding cashews, almonds, raisins and poppy seeds. Its demand is high especially in Barmer-Jaisalmer.

Actually, to make ‘Sailani’, sesame seeds are ground in half and cashew nuts, almonds and jaggery are added to it and it is liked a lot due to its hot nature and excellent taste. Prabhulal says that its demand is high in winters, hence he trades these sesame items in this season. Coming from Bhilwara, they are making tourists and selling them here for 2 months. This salain is sold at the rate of Rs 260 per kg.
People are tasting with 50 to 100 grams
The taste of this jaggery dry fruit salaani is such that Prabhulal is selling this item up to 20 kg daily on his cart. This means that 5000 rupees worth of tourists are being sold on his cart every day. At their stall, you can buy it per kg as well as in a plate or in the quantity of 50 to 100 grams and taste it. Along with this, Prabhulal is also selling sesame oil at the rate of Rs 350 per kg. The consumption of this oil increases especially in the winter season.
