Even today this sweet is made in the traditional way. Sesame seeds have started appearing at many places in Sirohi district. In many places, till a few years ago, this cart was driven by oxen.
Now electric ghani or ghani prepared from jugaad made from bike is used. Bhilwara businessman Madanlal is selling sesame sweets in Abu Road town of the district. Trader Madanlal told Local-18 that many traders from Bhilwara come here to sell sesame seeds in winter. Consuming Seli in winter brings energy and vitality to the body.
This is how this sweet is prepared
To make sesame seeds, first of all the sesame seeds are washed in clean water and dried. After this, after grinding in ghani, jaggery is mixed well in it. After this, dry fruits like cashews, raisins, almonds and pistachios can also be added to it. These sweets are being sold in the market for up to Rs 450 per kg.
