Indore: Cardiac arrest is increasing rapidly among the youth, due to which many times they are dying. Recently a video has gone viral from Indore, which has forced people to think. In Indore, an auto rickshaw driver youth went to the doctor for a checkup after getting nervous. The youth was having pain in his chest. As soon as he reached the doctor and started getting the checkup done, he fell there. He died.
A video of this incident has also surfaced. When a rickshaw driver living in Pardesipura area of Indore got nervous, he drove his rickshaw to the doctor. During the treatment, the driver suffered a cardiac arrest and died. The name of the deceased is Sonu, a resident of Shivaji Nagar, who reached Bhagyashree Hospital at around 8:15 pm after feeling uneasy. He told his problem to the doctor.
The doctor had a debate
While the doctor was examining him, he collapsed, after which he was taken to CHL hospital. According to the doctor who conducted the post-mortem, according to the preliminary investigation, Sonu died of cardiac arrest. The doctor who conducted the checkup alleged that when the police was informed about the incident, the policemen started arguing. The doctor himself found Sonu’s home address from the Aadhar card found with him and went there and informed the family. He was taken to CHL hospital.
Then Sonu’s life would have been saved…
Dr. Suyash Thakur of Bhagyashree Hospital said that during the checkup, the young man suddenly fell down and we held him. We sprinkled water on him and also gave him CPR. Neither his family members were with him nor did we have the medical equipment, so we did not start treatment. Then we informed the police. But, they started scolding us. Later, we ourselves searched for the family members on Saturday night. About an hour later, three policemen reached the clinic. The patient’s pulse was still running till he was taken from the clinic. If the police had reached the spot immediately, Sonu’s life could have been saved. However, the police have registered a case in this matter.
How to recognize the symptoms
According to the report of National Health Mission, more than 36 thousand cases of heart attack have been reported in Madhya Pradesh in 2023, out of which 13 thousand patients are below 40 years of age.
– Chest pain or discomfort: Most heart attacks cause pain in the middle or left side of the chest that lasts from a few minutes to more. The pain stops for a while, then starts again.
– Feeling weak, dizzy or faint. Cold sweat may also occur. Pain or discomfort in the jaw, neck or back.
– Pain or discomfort in one or both arms or shoulders.
– Difficulty breathing. This often comes with chest discomfort, but shortness of breath can also occur before chest discomfort.
Ways to avoid heart attack
– Avoid consumption of tobacco products.
– If your weight is more than normal, then lose weight.
– Adopt physical activities like yoga, exercise and walking.
