Grabbing of 35 bighas of land through fake and forged documents has come to light in UP. After the matter was caught in the investigation, the Consolidation Commissioner has ordered to register a report and take legal action against the fraudsters on November 4.
The matter is of Jaunpur district. Now other documents prepared during consolidation in this district will also be examined. Anwaruddin Khan and his family members do farming on about 35 bighas of land in Manikala village of Khetasarai police station area of Jaunpur. It is alleged that Ansar Ahmed, resident of Bharethi village, prepared a fake order for the case of the Consolidation Department regarding this land.
During investigation, documents were found to be forged and fake.
Now when he reached to take possession of the land, he came to know about the encroachers. Anwaruddin appealed to the High Court. In view of the old documents, the High Court stayed the possession order on July 5, 2024. On the orders of the High Court, Settlement Officer Chakbandi formed a three-member committee. Investigation revealed that all the documents presented by Ansar Ahmed were forged and fake.
Involvement of Consolidation Accountant
In such a situation, Settlement Consolidation Officer Jaunpur gave Ansar Ahmed a chance to present his side again. The same documents were again presented by Ansar, on which the Settlement Consolidation Officer rejected all the arguments. The involvement of the then Consolidation Lekhpal was stated in the execution order dated December 21, 1993 marked on Chak No. 116.
There will be a fresh and detailed investigation
In such a situation, on November 4, Consolidation Commissioner Bhanu Chandra Goswami directed the district administration to file a report against the people involved in the case. Also, other pending cases during consolidation should be thoroughly investigated afresh.
