Talking about January 2024 alone, 1996 cases were registered in the Supreme Court in this month. Whereas, 2420 cases were also resolved by the Supreme Court in the same month.

How many cases are increasing year after year
Talking about the number of pending cases increasing in the Supreme Court year after year, while 80,221 cases were pending in January 2024, 78,400 cases were pending in the Supreme Court in January 2023. Whereas, 70,101 cases were pending in the Supreme Court in January 2022. On the other hand, if we talk about the number of judges in the Supreme Court, then at present the number of judges in the Supreme Court is 34. In such a situation, you can imagine how much pressure a judge would have to clear so many cases.
