Threads created a unique record of 175 million users in just one year, Mark Zuckerberg expressed happiness

Meta: Meta launched its latest text extension platform Threads on Instagram on July 5 last year, which will complete one year tomorrow i.e. on July 5, 2024. CEO Mark Zuckerberg has expressed happiness over the completion of one year of Threads. Mark has said that even before the completion of one year, more than 175 million users are using Threads.

After the launch of Threads on the Play Store, it directly competed with the micro-blogging site X (formerly known as Twitter). It was also a big challenge for Threads to bring the users of X to its side.

Threads completes one year

According to Meta, within a week of the launch of Threads, 100 million users started using it and the reason behind this was the ease with which Instagram users could set up their Threads profile. Due to this feature, users did not face any problem in creating their profile on Threads, but some users did not like Threads and so they distanced themselves from it.

What did Zuckerberg say?

On the completion of one year of Threads app, Zuckerberg posted and wrote, "What a year it was." Earlier, Zuckerberg had put the MAU figure of Threads at more than 150 million. Monthly average user count i.e. MAU shows only one side of the popularity of Threads, which does not reveal key metrics like daily active user count and how much time the user is spending on the app.

Some reports from threads

Many aspects have come to light regarding Threads, according to market intelligence firm Sensor Tower, users have been attracted to Threads due to its service, but the company has struggled a lot to increase engagement. On the other hand, according to the data of Sensor Tower, users have spent about three sessions and seven minutes daily on Threads. If we compare it with the data of July last year, then it is about 79% and 65% less.
