Ekadashi in July 2024: There is a religious belief that by doing special worship of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi on Ekadashi Tithi, the protector of the world, the person gets auspicious results. Also, all wishes are fulfilled.
Yogini Ekadashi, Devshayani Ekadashi and Kamika Ekadashi will fall in the month of July (July 2024). Astrologer Dr. Anish Vyas told that this time in the month of July, a special coincidence is being made on Ekadashi, the special date of worshiping Lord Vishnu.
There will be three Ekadashi in this month. Yogini Ekadashi was celebrated on Tuesday 2 July, Dev Shayani Ekadashi will be celebrated on 17 July and Kamika Ekadashi (Kamika Ekadashi 2024) will be celebrated on 31 July.
The worship of Lord Vishnu has special importance as three special Ekadashi Tithi fall in one month. This time there are three Ekadashi Tithi in the month of July whereas usually there are only two Ekadashi Tithi in a month.
The combination of three Ekadashi will be helpful in the happiness and prosperity of the common people because there is a combination of Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga in all three Ekadashi. Earlier, the combination of three Ekadashi was formed in May 2023.
The religious importance of the month of July (July 2024) has increased due to the arrival of all three Ekadashi. From the second Ekadashi of July i.e. Devshayani, all types of auspicious works will be stopped for four months. Marriage and all types of new auspicious works will be prohibited.
There are 24 Ekadashi fasts in a year. All of these are dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Worshiping him on this day brings auspicious results.
In such a situation, some people also observe Nirjala fast, which is very difficult. There is a belief about this day that whoever observes Ekadashi fast, remains blessed by Lord Vishnu as well as Goddess Lakshmi.
13 months ago also three Ekadashi came in a similar way. Due to three Ekadashi in July 2024, worshiping Lord Vishnu in this month is more fruitful.
A similar coincidence also came in May 2023. This time the second Ekadashi among the three Ekadashis is Devshayani Ekadashi. Chaturmas (Chaturmas 2024) will begin from this Ekadashi. Auspicious works are prohibited during Chaturmas.
However, Chaturmas is considered favorable for religious activities and charity. It is believed that during this period Lord Shiva controls the universe and Bholenath gets pleased with the charity, worship and recitation done during Chaturmas and grants the desired boons to the devotees.
Therefore, one should worship Lord Shiva and Vishnu during these 4 months. Travelling to holy places during Chaturmas is considered very auspicious.
Yogini Ekadashi was celebrated on 2 July
Yogini Ekadashi of Ashad Krishna brought a special combination of yoga. On this day, along with Sarvarth Siddhi Yoga and Tripushkar Yoga, there was also a special combination of Gajkeshri Yoga.
Devshayani Ekadashi on July 17
Devshayani Ekadashi (Devshayani Ekadashi 2024) will be celebrated on 17th July in Ashadh Shukla Paksha. From this day Lord Vishnu will sleep in Ksheer Sagar for four months.
These four months are considered as Chaturmas. Chaturmas is celebrated from the Sun in Cancer to the Sun in Libra. Devshayani Ekadashi will start from 8:34 pm on July 16 to 9:03 pm on July 17.
But it will be celebrated on the rising date. On this Ekadashi also, there will be a special combination of Sarvarth Siddhi, Amrit Siddhi and Rajyoga.
Kamika Ekadashi on 31st July (Kamika Ekadashi 2024 Date)
Kamika Ekadashi will be celebrated on July 31, which will be especially fruitful. It is believed that if one worships Lord Vishnu and recites Vishnu Sahasranama and Gopal Sahasranama to fulfill his wishes, he will get special results.
By coincidence, Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga, Kumar and Raj Yoga will also be there on this day. Moon will be in its exalted sign Taurus. This date will be from 4:45 pm on July 30 to 3:56 pm on July 31.

Work to do on Ekadashi
Get up early in the morning and take a bath and finish your daily chores. Clean the temple in your house and perform the Abhishek of Lord Vishnu. Light a lamp of Desi Ghee to Lord Vishnu and offer him Panchamrit.
It is considered auspicious to recite Vishnu Sahasranama on Ekadashi Tithi. Havan Anushthan should be performed on Ekadashi (July Ekadashi). Feeding Brahmins is considered auspicious. Donate clothes to the needy. Visit the temple and have darshan of Lord Vishnu.
