Lok Sabha Elections 2024: For the Lok Sabha elections 2024, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has set a target of 370 plus for itself and 400 plus for the NDA alliance. Regarding this, while on one side the opposition is attacking, on the other side leaders of opposition parties are joining BJP one after the other. Former Trinamool Congress MP and leader Mahua Moitra has taken a dig at the issue.
He wrote on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), “I thought Ram Lalla has taken care of 400 seats in 2024. Then why is BJP trying to catch the same leaders whom it has always condemned as corrupt? I mean, at this rate they’ll soon want me too.” Actually, Mahua Moitra was expelled from the Lok Sabha over the cash for query case.
I thought Ram Lalla had taken care of 400 seats in 2024. So why is BJP desperately grabbing at the very same netas they always denounced as “corrupt”?
I mean at this rate they’ll soon want me.

Why did Mahua Moitra take this taunt on BJP?
This tweet of TMC leader Lok Sabha Elections This came after Ashok Chavan, a veteran Congress leader, joined BJP. This is being seen as a sarcasm regarding the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra joining the saffron party.
Ashok Chavan was asked to resign from the post of Chief Minister of Maharashtra after being accused of corruption in the Adarsh Housing scam case. Investigation is still going on against Chavan in the case. On this, Congress alleged that the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra had conspired with the investigating agencies to join BJP.
Adarsh scam also mentioned in white paper
Earlier on February 8, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented a ‘white paper’ in Parliament, in which the 10-year performance of the NDA government was highlighted. The Adarsh scam was also mentioned among the scams of the UPA era that Nirmala Sitharaman had listed in the ‘White Paper’.
