He claimed that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi Opposition leaders are not able to make eye contact with Rahul Gandhi in Lok Sabha. Shatrughan Sinha has given his reaction on the controversial statement of BJP MP Anurag Thakur. He said that it is wrong to ask about the caste of the opposition leader.
According to a Hindustan Times report, TMC Lok Sabha MP Shatrughan Sinha said, “It was wrong. It is wrong to ask about the caste of Rahul Gandhi, a powerful, popular leader of the opposition. You cannot ask about caste in this manner. We are trying to explain to Anurag Thakur, who is our own.
BJP does not have to face the old opposition- Shatrughan Sinha
TMC MP Shatrughan Sinha further said that the BJP is not facing the same old opposition. He said, “This is not the same opposition as before, the government is also not the same as before. When the opposition leaders are challenging the Prime Minister, he is not able to talk to the opposition leaders eye to eye. This is a fragile government. If they continue like this, it will create problems.

BJP MP Anurag Thakur on 30 July (Tuesday) cornered Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in Parliament and said, “The one whose caste is not known, talks about census.” However, Anurag Thakur later clarified that he did not name anyone in his comment. But, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi claimed that this comment was made on him.
