Gurucharan Singh On Career: ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma’ fame actor Gurcharan Singh aka Sodhi went missing on April 22, 2024. He returned home 25 days later on May 18. There were reports that he was struggling with financial crisis. Now months later, the actor himself has admitted that he is going through a financial crisis and has a debt of more than one crore.
In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Gurcharan Singh told that he is on a liquid diet due to financial constraints. He said- ‘Today is the 34th day and I have not eaten food. I eat at some places, like I go to Guruji’s ashram and if there is a prayer, I go there only on Mondays because only on Mondays one gets samosas or bread pakoras or tea or sweets along with it.’
The actor is under a debt of Rs 1.2 crore
Gurcharan Singh further said- ‘It has been 4 years, for 4 years I have been trying to do a lot of things. I have been trying to do business, I have failed in everything. So now I am tired, now I need to earn my own money. I mean if there is income then work should come in front of me. So that I can take care of mom and dad and I can repay my debt. The bank and EMI amount is around 55-60 lakhs. Friends also gave almost the same amount. So there is a debt of around 1.2 crores.’

Let us tell you that Gurcharan Singh worked in the TV show ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ for many years. He became a household name by playing the character of Roshan Singh Sodhi in this show. But later Balwinder Singh Suri was given this role in his place.
