On the occasion of New Year, the whole of Delhi was immersed in celebrations. In such a situation, most of the tourist places were buzzing with tourists. A large number of people reached tourist places from morning till late night. Not only local but also foreign tourists were involved in this. Even the cold winds did not let the enthusiasm of the people diminish. Some were having fun with their friends and some with their family. Not only this, the enthusiasm among the children was palpable. To make their moments memorable, people started visiting the tourist places from early morning amidst the cold winds. The highest number of tourists was seen at India Gate. People who came here to visit during the day were seen enjoying the sunshine.

There was a large crowd of tourists at many tourist places including India Gate, Red Fort, Purana Qila, Qutub Minar, Jantar Mantar and Zoo. The situation was such that late in the evening there was no space left to even set foot on India Gate and Connaught Place. On the other hand, due to overcrowding, many visitors had to return from the zoo without seeing it. Adequate arrangements were made by the administration and management to control the crowd of tourists.

Despite this, the audience faced a lot of problems in buying tickets. A huge crowd of tourists was seen outside the zoo on Wednesday; everyone was seen standing in queues and waiting to go inside. During this, Chetan, who had come to visit the zoo on the occasion of New Year, told that he was standing in the queue since morning, but his number has not come. In such a situation, they have to go home disappointed.

Saw India Gate for the first time, captured the moment on camera
Shamsuddin, who came to India Gate with his family from Ghaziabad, told that he has seen India Gate for the first time in his life. In such a situation, to make these moments memorable, a cake has been cut with the family. He told that when the cake was saved, it was given to economically weaker people. So that there is no wastage of food.

The magic of gifts and social media worked
There was no space to even set foot in the gift shops and flower markets. Shopkeepers made money from the sale of bouquets and cakes. At the same time, social media was flooded with Happy New Year messages and stories. Everyone was seen sharing New Year’s happiness online.
