Trackmen in Railways will get a chance to become Junior Engineer (JE), Supervisor and Loco Pilot. For this they will have to give general departmental exam. Applications for a total of 221 posts will be held in December and the examination will be conducted in January.

The special thing is that due to the continuous efforts of NE Railway Mazdoor Union, which is fighting for the interests of the trackmen, this opportunity has been given to the Group D category trackmen working on the track. Union’s divisional minister ANN Garg said that now trackmen will be able to become loco pilots and supervisors through the general departmental exam.

Exam will be conducted in January

This will provide relief to Group D employees of the engineering department by getting promotion and opportunities to move to other departments. There are a total of 221 posts for promotion, applications for which will be started from December 21 and the examination will be conducted in January.
