Tragic accident on Varanasi-Shaktinagar highway

A painful accident happened on Friday on Son river bridge in Chopan on Varanasi-Shaktinagar highway. Bike rider father and three children died after being hit by a speeding vehicle. The wife also suffered serious injuries. After preliminary treatment from the district hospital, he was referred to Varanasi. After the accident, the driver who hit the vehicle fled along with the vehicle. Angad alias Natwar (32), a resident of Ammatola of Kota Gram Panchayat under Chopan police station area, was going towards Robertsganj by bike with his wife Sangeeta (28) and three children on Friday.
A speeding vehicle coming from behind hit the bike on the bridge built on Son river in Chopan. Due to this the bike riders fell on the road. Angad, his daughter Archana (7), son Sunny (5) died on the spot due to serious head injuries. Wife Sangeeta and son Bittu (3) were seriously injured. Police reached the spot and took both the injured to Chopan CHC, from where they were sent to the district hospital.
Seeing the serious condition, the doctors in the district hospital also referred him to Varanasi. Bittu also died while being taken to Varanasi. The condition of injured Sangeeta is also serious. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the relatives reached the district hospital and from there left for Varanasi. CO City Rahul Pandey said that the absconding vehicle rider is being searched after the incident.
