Actually, TRAI is insisting on stopping spam and fake calls and if anyone violates it, he will be blacklisted. TRAI had also instructed telecom companies to curb URL/APK links. On the orders of TRAI, telecom companies are trying to complete the work by the deadline.
TRAI gave these instructions
TRAI had directed telecom companies to stop promotional messages. Its deadline was 1 September. But now its deadline has been extended to 1 October 2024. TRAI wants to curb fake and spam calls soon. TRAI had said that if any entity misuses its SIP/PRI lines to make spam calls, then all telecom resources of the entity will be disconnected by its telecom service provider (TSP). Not only this, that entity will also be blacklisted.
