Tamil Nadu: Trichy police has arrested two people, including a tattoo artist. They are accused of running a tattoo parlor without the necessary license and performing dangerous tongue splitting procedures without medical training or safety equipment. Let us inform that among the arrested persons, Hariharan, who is a resident of Chintamani, Trichy, and his associate Jayaraman, a resident of Koothappar. Both of them ran a tattoo shop in Melachinthamani area.
Hariharan’s obsession with tongue splitting and tattoos
According to a Times of India report, Hariharan got himself tongue split in January and later underwent surgery. After this, he went to Mumbai and spent ₹2 lakh to get his eye tattooed. Hariharan is fond of getting unique tattoos and he used to share them on his Instagram account. Let us tell you that in this case the allegation is that Hariharan performed a dangerous tongue splitting operation on Jayaraman without any medical preparation.
Sharing the video on social media was costly
After recording the video of the entire process and posting it on social media, the police arrested Hariharan and Jayaraman. A case was registered based on the complaint, in which it was alleged that Hariharan performed the tongue surgery without medical training.
Tattoo shop sealed
According to the report of Times of India, Trichy Corporation closed and sealed the tattoo shop on Sunday night. This shop was running for more than a month and was advertising services like tongue splitting and eyeball piercing without a valid license.

During the inspection, the Corporation Health Team also found items like medical-grade needles and surgical stitches. The police and the corporation have taken joint action in this matter.
