On Shravan Purnima, as per the old tradition of Kashi Vishwanath’s Jhoolanotsav, Baba’s Kajri was organized at the Mahant residence in Teedi Neem. Before Kajri, Baba’s Panchbadan idol was traditionally adorned with tricolor. Devotees sang Baba’s Kajri and Baba’s bhajans.
I will swing you slowly Mahadev, I will read the swing on the bank of Ganga, Aghaddani with Damru, drops of Sawan juice are pouring down, tell me O Gaura Rani, Jai Jai Hey Shiva, your supreme bravery, Without you Shankar etc. were some of the compositions offered by the emerging artists at the feet of Baba.
Among those who sang were Dhruv Mishra, Sangeeta Pandey, Atharva Mishra, Karuna Singh, Satya Prakash Patel, Suraj Prasad from Mirzapur.
On Shravan Purnima, as per the folk tradition that has been going on since the establishment of the temple, Baba will be seated on a swing along with Goddess Parvati and Lord Ganesha. Jhoolnotsav will begin at Kashi Vishwanath Temple after 5:30 in the evening. Before that, the Panchbadan idol of Baba Vishwanath will be worshipped with due rituals at the Mahant residence of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Tedhinim.
