Tripti Dimri On Animals: Tripti Dimri has become a national crush after working in the 2023 film ‘Animal’, Tripti played the role of Ranbir Kapoor’s on-screen girlfriend Zoya in the film. Despite the supporting role, the actress got immense popularity and became a star overnight. Tripti recently called Zoya ‘brave and innocent’ and revealed why she signed Ranbir and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film Animal.
Why did Tripti Dimri sign ‘Animal’
During the latest India Today Conclave 2024, Tripti Dimri opened up about why she decided to be a part of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s directorial venture Animal. Tripti admitted that the actress does not like to stay in her comfort zone, which she found while working on her films, Bulbul (2020) and Kaala (2022). Unlike her recent past works, she found Animal “quite challenging”. Tripti said that it is important to sign films that push her as an actor.
Tripti said, “Whenever I get a role, I feel that it is both scary and challenging. When Sandeep sir told me about the character of Zoya, I felt exactly like that. She looked both brave and innocent at the same time, and that excited me. Tripti added, “I am always looking for roles that offer something different.”

Tripti Dimri started her career in 2017 with Poster Boys alongside Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Shreyas Talpade. She then starred opposite Avinash Tiwari in Imtiaz Ali’s production Laila Majnu, which failed at the box office during its initial release. The 2018 film was re-released in theatres this year. Her other films include Bulbul, Kaala and Bad Newz.
Tripti is now preparing for director Raj Shandilya’s ‘Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’. She will be seen opposite Rajkummar Rao in this film. In the film, they will be shown as a married couple from the 90s. The team of Shandilya’s film is on promotion these days. The comedy entertainer will be released on October 11, 2024, this film will clash with Alia Bhatt-starrer ‘Jigra’ at the box office.
