True caller identification service on Whatsapp: All of you must be using WhatsApp for at least 2 to 3 hours in a day. Nowadays cybercrime is at its peak and cybercriminals are also targeting people through WhatsApp. There are more than 500 million monthly active users on WhatsApp in India. Having such a large number of userbase gives a big advantage to hackers or scammers and they easily trap people in their net. Nowadays people are getting a lot of fraud calls or SMS on WhatsApp. Through these messages, people are being misled and their personal details and money are being cleared.
But now Truecaller has joined hands with Meta to identify fraud calls or SMS on WhatsApp and soon people are going to get a special feature on the app, with the help of which they will be able to identify spam or fraud calls in advance. Just as people get red color alerts when spam calls are received in Truecaller, the same will happen on WhatsApp in the coming time and people will already be able to identify fraud calls.
When will it be launched
Truecaller is going to bring its caller identification service to WhatsApp and other social media apps, with the help of which users will be able to identify spam calls. This feature can come on WhatsApp by the end of this month. Alan Mamedi, co-founder and CEO of Truecaller, said that according to the 2021 report, on an average people in India receive 17 spam or telemarketing calls every month. Truecaller’s caller identification service will soon be available on WhatsApp to identify spam calls and reduce online fraud. He said that the company is also working with Reliance Jio and Airtel on AI techniques to filter telemarketing calls on mobile networks as per TRAI’s order. With its help, all such calls can be blocked which are related to spam or marketing.
Let me tell you, at present the caller identification service has been released for only a few beta testers. If you also want to use it, then you can join the beta program by going to Playstore.
