Because, today we are going to tell you a recipe of Dahi Bada which is diet friendly as well as healthy and tasty. This recipe is more popular among the tribals in Jharkhand.
Jharkhandi’s cuisine expert Shalini told Local 18 that among the tribals, especially on the day of Holi, millet curd is made in large quantities. Bajra contains high fiber, due to which it gets digested easily. This is a boon for those who are especially on diet. Because it does not increase weight at all and further improves digestion.
How to make millet curd
Shalini tells that to make millet curd, first of all you have to take one pav of millet ground. Have to take one loaf of rice and one glass of urad dal. These three have to be put to swell. After two-three hours, grind all this well and make a paste. This paste has to be left for at least 8 hours. It gets fermented naturally.

Shalini further told Local 18 that after this add a little baking soda to the paste and mix it. Also add some salt, cumin powder, round chilli powder. Your paste is ready. Then take the paste with a spoon and put it in oil. You can add it to curd or eat it dry also. After adding it to curd, you can add some tamarind chutney, sweet chutney, cumin seeds, round chilli powder, light black salt and coriander leaves to garnish and serve.

Ranchi’s well-known Ayurvedic doctor VK Pandey (Vinoba Bhave University BAMS) told Local 18 that millet has high fiber and is low in calories and sugar. Because of this it is best diet friendly. Firstly, it prevents constipation, improves digestion and also helps in weight loss due to low calories. It also has low glycemic index, due to which it does not allow sugar to increase.
