Turkiye-Syria Earthquake: After the earthquake devastation in Turkey and Syria, more than 70 countries have come forward to help these two countries. India is the main among the helping countries. The Government of India has provided help there under ‘Operation Dost’. Through our ‘Operation Dost’, NDRF teams, relief materials, food etc. have been sent to the affected areas. Along with this, dog squads have also been sent.
According to the information, a four-member dog squad has been sent from India to Turkey. The squad consists of dogs and bitches named Julie, Romeo, Honey and Rambo, who have a keen sense of smell and are trained rescue Labradors. All of them have been sent to Turkey so that they can smell the humans buried under the debris and help them get out.

Talking about ‘Operation Dost’ of the Government of India, an official said that the reason behind naming this operation Dost is special. Actually, the word ‘friend’ is used in Turkish and Hindi languages, hence this operation has been named friend.
