Turkish influencer suicide: Turkish TikTok influencer Kubra Aykut committed suicide in Istanbul at the age of 26. She went viral for the video of “Marriage without a groom”. Kubra Aykut committed suicide by jumping from the fifth floor of a luxury apartment in Sultanbey district. This incident happened on September 23 and a suicide note was also found at the spot.
Was worried about weight loss
According to Turkish media reports, a few hours before his death, he shared a touching letter on his account, in which he wrote about his struggle to gain weight. Kubra had written, “I have mustered my energy, but I am not able to gain weight. Every day I am losing one kilogram of weight. I don’t know what to do; I need to gain weight immediately.”
Before her death, Kubra posted the last video on her TikTok account, in which she is seen cleaning her house. Kubra had more than 10 lakh followers on TikTok and 2,07,000 followers on Instagram. In 2023, Kubra got huge popularity on TikTok with the video series “Marriage without groom”. She symbolically “married” herself by donning a beautiful white gown and crown, saying, “I cannot find a suitable groom for myself.”
TikTok influencers will attend the funeral
In another video, Kubra was seen screaming with joy while sitting in a car, holding a bouquet of flowers in her hand. In a separate viral video, she jokingly called herself a “nervous bride” while eating a burger in wedding attire. Turkish authorities have begun an investigation into the cause of his death, and his body has been sent for post-mortem. The funeral will be held at his parents’ house, in which many TikTok influencers will also attend. Her parents are saddened by her departure and are going through the endless pain of their daughter’s death.
