Twitter Refuses To Pay For Google Cloud Service This Will Impact Safety And Trust Team

Twitter Update: Twitter provides some services to its customers through the cloud service of Amazon and Google, that is, the company does not do any work from its own server, but for these works it takes the service of others and pays them for it. Musk’s company Twitter has told Google not to pay for its cloud service. If this happens in reality, then after June 30, the trouble of the company’s trust and safety team may increase.

this is worrying

It is a matter of concern for you that in fact, Twitter had signed a contract with Google last year, under which Google hosts services to prevent spam and child sexual abuse on Twitter. That is, with the help of this the platform remains safe from hackers. Now when the company will stop paying for this, then spam etc. can increase on Twitter. According to the information, this contract was done before Musk’s takeover, which will end on June 30 this year. Twitter has been in talks with the company regarding this contract since the month of March, but now the news has come to the fore that Twitter is ignoring the payment.

Earlier in the month of March, e-commerce joint Amazon had warned Twitter to pay for cloud services as the company was reluctant in this too.

Then this task of Musk will be affected

In 2018, Twitter bought a company called Smyte that provides tools to prevent abuse and harassment on the platform. Currently it is one of the services running on Google Cloud Platform. If this service is shut down, it will reduce Musk’s ability to achieve two of his stated priorities, which include removing CSAM and bots from the platform.
