Similarly, now in our country too, admissions will be given twice a year instead of once in higher educational institutes.

Talking about the current rules, the admission process starts once a year. Under this, the new session starts in July-August which ends in May-June next year. Students get admission only once. Under the new system, admissions will be given twice a year.
Admission will be done in these months
Under the new academic cycle, admissions will now be done in July-August as well as January-February. UGC Chairman Jagdish Kumar has announced this. He says that many times due to many reasons, candidates are not able to take admission on time and their year gets wasted. Such students will be helped by this process.
Facility was already available in these programs
Let us tell you that the facility of double admission in regular program has been implemented now but this facility was already available in open and distance learning programs. Seeing their success, this option has now been given in regular mode programs as well.
This facility will not be compulsory
Talking about this, the UGC chairman also said that the option of taking admission twice a year will be given but it will not be mandatory for higher educational institutes to follow this rule. It will be the decision of the institute whether they want to take admission twice a year or not.
Placements can happen again and again
According to a TOI report, the UGC chairman said that among other benefits of this admission cycle, one benefit is that it will provide more employment opportunities. Companies can conduct placements more than once and this will increase job opportunities for candidates.
